The Journal Gazette
A federal grand jury indicted a Fort Wayne couple on three counts related to the distribution of LSD.
This month, James B. Nelson, 29, and Stefanie Redfern, 22, both of the 1800 block of North Anthony Boulevard, were arrested by federal agents.
Inside their apartment, investigators found little bags full of powders, various pills in a variety of colors, a hydraulic pill press, bags of cash, and a clear plastic bag with about a pound of a brown crystalline substance, according to court documents.
The pair were indicted on two counts of distributing less than 10 grams but more than 1 gram of LSD and one count of distribution of less than 10 grams but more than 1 gram of LSD and ketamine, according to court documents.
The grand jury also indicted Redfern on a single count of profiting from the use of a building for distribution of controlled substances.
As part of the indictment, the government seeks the forfeiture of scales, computer equipment, a heat sealer, the hydraulic pill press and $123,647 in cash.
