Locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer to maintain the efficacy of chemotherapy evaluation
This study aimed to evaluate the initial chemoradiation for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients receiving maintenance chemotherapy. Methods: 120 cases of Ⅲ A and Ⅲ B non-small cell lung cancer patients receiving four cycles of induction chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy, will be among the treatment effective 63 patients were randomly divided into maintenance chemotherapy group (33 patients receiving vinorelbine maintenance chemotherapy, 20 mg / m ~ 2 1 and 8 days to 28 d of a chemotherapy cycle) and control group (30 cases patients only for observation, do not give maintenance chemotherapy), assess the efficacy of these two groups of patients, survival and adverse reactions were: maintenance chemotherapy group, the median time to disease progression compared with control groups (respectively 8.5 and 5.0 months), difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); maintenance chemotherapy group, 1-year and 2-year survival rates were 66.7% and 36.4% in the control group was 60.7% and 32.1%, the difference was not statistically significant (P> 0.05) Conclusion: effective induction chemotherapy for locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, vinorelbine maintain, extend the time to disease progression, but had no effect on survival.
