MEK inhibitor PD98059 on mice was observed to expand the influence survival after hepatectomy. Methods 90% and 70% hepatectomy model were randomly divided into two groups, PD98059 group hepatectomy after portal vein disposable injection PD98059 (1mg/kg), respectively, were observed 90% survival rate after hepatectomy and 7d assessment 70% 48h after hepatectomy liver regeneration and liver damage. Results 90% hepatectomy control mice died within 12h 100%, PD98059 group survival time of more than 16h, 7d postoperative survival rate was 16.7% (P <0.05). Liver weights used in the reconstruction and BrdU incorporation rate to assess liver regeneration, 70% hepatectomy liver regeneration rate 48hPD98059 group than the control group (P <0.05), but after 48h serum ALT levels significantly lower than the control group (P <0.05). 48h after HE staining showed the liver, PD98059 group had no significant pathological structural changes in the control group showed mild steatosis. Conclusion MEK inhibitor PD98059 appropriate inhibition of hepatic resection liver regeneration rate, can improve liver function and improve survival remaining.
