Arnie as we liked to call him loved shooting sports. Our whole family pleaded with him to give it up as a dangerous hobby that benefited no one. One day he was cleaning up after a day at the range and his replica 17th century Portuguese arquebus discharged. The sound frightened his hunting falcon, Horus, to such an extent that it attacked Arnie's face blinding him. He stumbled out of his room and fell down the 3 story split staircase that featured so prominently in his home killing him instantly."

Richard Dempsey was 27 years old when he was fatally wounded during a late night robbery of his workplace, a Shell gas station. Two assailants entered the store and shot Richard then took the cash from the register and fled. Richard was a part time student at Southern Maine Community college majoring in marine biology. Richard was a volunteer at the local DFW and also assisted in an after school program to teach underprivlaged youth chess and basic computer skills. He has a younger sister who is enlisted in the US airforce and is currently serving over seas in Japan. He is survived by his mother and father who miss him dearly.
